In 2010 he spent six months working as a volunteer in Malawi including one month at Mwabvi, when his stay, which should have been for the rest of the year, was cut short by illness; Katy Scholfield , the first PAW student volunteer and conservation researcher; Gaynor Asquith , Trustee and founder, and Barry Kerr , Project Director (MWCT).
